20" long

A carved dove-like bird that may have been mounted outdoors early in its existence, given its wonderful patina. Early off-white paint on body and wings, with splashes of green. Yellow bill and dark glass eyes. Wire legs mounted in a recent base. Notes on bottom of base indicate the bill had been repaired at some point and that "this is a very important piece of folk art" and "likely from N.E. Iowa."
